Sunday Morning

Woke up early to let my youngest dog out and he bolted to the back corner of the yard. I didn't think much so I went to go and made some coffee. My dog started barking like mad so I knew something was up. I went out to investigate and this is what I found.

Doe a deer a female deer.

She was in the top yard from us. My dog is young and dumb and couldn't find her, he could smell her that was for sure. She was very calm and relaxed. I love waking up early in the morning to find nature at its finest. I brought my dog inside made my morning coffee and went back outside to find she was in the same spot staring at me. I continued to sip my coffee and she slowly walked away and carried on with her day!

Kitchen windows & Coffee shops

Spring is in the air. Flowers are blooming and showing up in kitchen windows and coffee shops all over the place. Beautiful.

One of my girl friends loves flowers. When she goes shopping, or for a walk she always gets flowers from the flower shop for her kitchen. They brighten up the place! I personally don't understand the point of buying flowers when you can pick them off the side of the road (not out of someone elses garden thats just rude). Around here though flowers grow EVERYWHERE. I have daffodils growing in the middle of my front yard.

Flowers always brighten up anyones day, fake or real!

Educate your self

A successful trip to the library! Am I one of the few who still takes trips to the library. I walked in to the library (surprised that I still remembered how to find books hehe) and the place looked very close to a ghost town. I loved the library when I was in school, it was so quiet and full of knowledge. Plus saves me TONS of money on books. I love to read.

All these books are to further my knowledge with certain Adobe programs. I must recommend a book for those who want to learn Adobe Flash, "Sams Teach Yourself Adobe Flash CS4 Professional in 24 Hours" Phillip Kerman & Lynn Beighley. Very easy to follow and doesn't talk to you like you are a COMPLETE idiot. I like it :) too bad I have to give it back.

Go to your local library :) take a out a book today (I aware I sound like an after school special)

Carrots in the Cake

Carrot Cake. Mmmm. I was bored and so I baked a cake. Now I don't bake, I don't really even cook unless I have to. It's not that I don't know how, it's just I don't enjoy it all that much. I love food and even more specify sweets. Ask anyone I lovvvve them.
I atempted to make a cake. It turned out ok. It tasted a little funny and a little dry. I cheated a little too, it was pretty much add eggs, oil and water and mix. But still I put the effort into it. I am proud that I didn't burn it!!!!!

Golden Sun

I was sitting on front steps watching my dogs play in the sun. They always wrestle with the same results, King always wins! Jester does put up a great challenge and is always getting better. He is a fast learner.
I love days like these where you are able to appreciate everything. The sun is shining and I can sit on the front steps in a t-shirt and read a book. Wonderful. Just look how blue that sky is, amazing! Not a cloud in sight! So relaxing.

Simple Solution

The stairs we could have taken that would have been the simple solution but didn't see them right away so we ended up walking down the beach for half an hour. It was a beautiful rocky, muddy walk. Entertaining and full of laughs! Next time we are going to wear more beach appropriate shoes. Ones that stay on and don't hurt your feet and are mud worthy.

The Keys

There is nothing like spending the day with you sister. Laughing, locking your keys in the car, talking and just enjoying the day! It's moments like these you look back on and just remember everything about the day.
She locked her keys in the car 5 minutes walking on the beach. The BCAA card was locked in the car with the phone number on it. Had to make a few calls to track down the number. The one time I locked the door the keys were in there.

It's all in the look

Beautiful warm orange eyes. Could give you the look of love or the look of death.
Amazing eyes.

He is a curious guy when I pull out my camera, always wanting to be in the picture, always by my side. He could be my assistant. hehe

Upon Us

Beauty is everywhere, you just need to open your eyes.

I love walking down Dallas Rd even more so when the sun is out and not a cloud in the sky. There is still a chill in the air but you can smell the salt on the ocean and see the buds on the trees. You know spring is coming on the West Coast. I could spend HOURS down here, just walking along the water. Get to the point and watch the kites flapping in the wind, kids running around laughing, the beauty of nature.

You just need to open your eyes really open them otherwise it will all pass you by. The simple things in life are free and the most beautiful too.

I love this photo. It's so simple, beautiful and colorful.

Much Love

Valentine's Day!
I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day. It's over rated and just another day you have to buy someone a gift that just doesn't seem necessary. But I would spend a day any Valentine's day like that with Drew.
Drew & I went for a picnic down at Saxe Point Park. Beautiful! We sat on the rocks and just watched the water crash into the rocks, the seagulls eating the crust of my sandwich. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and the wind wasn't too bad down there. Very well kept park. A beautiful place to be married at. I had a great day with my wonderful boyfriend just walking around the park, watching the waves. It was an absolutely wonderful day, it was the closes to perfect it could get (I don't think anything could be 'perfect' and if anything gets to perfect then it is way amazing).
Drew makes me laugh and I can be totally silly around him. I can say what I think with out being judged. I am beyond grateful he hacked into my life. I can not remember the last time I was this happy, if ever. It's moments like these pictures that I want to last forever.

My Favorite

This is my favorite when the little one sleeps. He just curls up in many different positions and sleeps quietly behind me in the office. He rolls around, sleeps on his back, head hanging off of the couch. Just a cute little button.

Photogenic

My photogenic boy.

No matter what this boy is doing he takes a picture well. He doesn't even look a day over 5, he hides his age well.

He is my protector, a little heater, he is my friend who keeps me company when my best friend sailing the ocean blue.

He shows so much emotion. So much love and he will let you know when he is mad at you. That's why he is the King.

All Polished

Nail Polish. I am proud to have a growing collection.

I've always bit my nails or had fake nails never my own to show off. Now I have my own and I am so proud of them. The only way that I won't bite them is if I keep them painted.

That was the only thing I would change about myself, when I bit them. I wish I had long nails and now ta da! I do.

Simple Things in Life are Free

Puppies and there treats.

We hadn't had treats for the boys in a really long time, so I went out and bought some. The boys went NUTS just absolutely crazy for them.

They sat, laid down and shock a paw on the first time asked.

They were so excited. I guess it is true what they say the simple things in life are free.

Honey Glazed

The day I learnt how to make 'HONEY GLAZED CARROTS'

1. cut the carrots. 4 large carrots should do for 2 people. Leave the peel on.

2. Add carrots to boiling water. The carrots should be bendable but not mushy.

3. Put olive oil in the bottom of the dish.

4. Strain carrots. Carful the steam burns.

5. Carrots go into the dish with oil. Take liquid honey and pour on top of the carrots. Don't be SHY with the honey, you'll need a lot.

6. Add oregano, granulated garlic on top of your carrot.

7. Put them into the over for 10 minutes on medium heat.

8. Take out and ta da ymmu delicious HONEY GLAZED CARROTS

Keyboard Color

Lately this is all I seem to be doing. Typing. I always seem to be typing away on the computer. Looking for a job, talking to friends, playing games and painting my nails.

Everything else lately has been just black and white not in a bad way or anything but every now and then it's nice to see some color.

Monkey Man

My little monkey man. We were out playing in the backyard, chasing squirrels. Then he found an to my surprise an un-chewed tennis ball. Tennis balls don't last long around here, they have a life span of about 3 minutes.
He has so much energy and is rather entertaining to watch run around. AND SO HARD TO GET A GOOD PICTURE OF, he is always bouncing around and just happy. He blends in with a lot of things but when I do get a good picture of him... he's my little monkey man :)

The Tunnel

The tunnel. Drew & I went out for a walk by the water. Macaulay Point Park. So much history here. The views are beautiful, so much going on, dogs running around, people with there children and the smell of the ocean.

A little history lesson...
Macaulay Point began as Hudson Bay farm, then later on became part of Fort Macaulay. Not it has been known for bird watchers, hikers, dog walkers and anyone who can appreciate beauty. Number of trails that lead to views of the Striat of Juan de Fuca, as well as former military ramparts. Bunkers, lookouts and defensive berms give the park an historical look.

Crazy 8s

Feb 5th picture - I was playing crazy 8 with my sister. She was so proud of her nails, she had just finished them before she came over. I loved this picture, describes the whole day right down to ever laugh. We always end up playing cards and drinking tea when she comes over. It's just one of those things that falls into the same routine when ever she comes over. I love it. We laugh so hard every time.
